Mack:

Serious? You'd like to do Victoria #yyj stats? That would be perfect - I've wanted to do this since I first saw your state of the Edmonton & Calgary Twitterverses, but lack the technical skills.

We've got a way to go before we approach #yeg and #yyc numbers I think.

All the best for 2010!

Awesome Stats, Would love to see stats for all the cities in Canada. Say just the ones that use the hashtags most, so #YEG, #YYZ, #YOW, all those, see which city is the most active "Twitter'rs".

Thanks Roma!

Catherine: I'd like to do the stats for Victoria...maybe I'll do so in 2010 :)

As for HootSuite, it was just outside the top 20 in Edmonton.

Interested in the array of Twitter clients - I'm surprised not to see HootSuite on the list. It has taken a bunch of market share in Victoria (ok, can something free be said to have market share??) and has become my favourite way to access Twitter. Used to use Flock but MAN, that is one huge browser. It's not on the list either.

Someone (who loves statistics) should do a State of the Twittersphere for yyj (Victoria). Thanks for this info!

Jeff: I think slightly too low. Most of my data comes from Twitter Search, which shows them all as "RT..." so that's fine. The data I get from Twitter doesn't have that in the text however (and that's how I process them right now). Should be simple to fix, but I haven't done it yet.

Also, an issue my processing has always had is that I only capture retweets that start with RT. So a tweet like "Awesome! RT..." doesn't count. I will change this for 2010 probably.

For a stats nerd it can't be said enough, thanks.

Do you think the retweets are too high, low, or there are just some falling in the cracks with the new feature?
