Tomorrow (well technically today) my Mom and Dad leave Inuvik to start their summer vacation. They are driving down to Edmonton, a trip which according to MapPoint is 3192.2 kilometers if you take the quickest route – a total of 36 hours and 45 minutes. For a map, directions, and more details, look here.
Over 700 of those kilometers will be spent on the Dempster Highway – one of the craziest highways in North America and maybe the world. It really is something else! For pictures and more, look here. For up to date road conditions, look here.
Here’s to a fast, fun, and most of all safe trip! See you on Thursday 🙂 Oh and be sure to check Martin’s site for updates and pictures from their trip.
Looking forward to real HUGS MasterMaq! Let’s hope the Dempster is dry, we have had alot of rain and it is pretty slick when muddy. We would like to take pictures too, so hopefully the sun will be out for us. Bijou is very excited about her Road Trip! See You Very Soon – Edmonton here we come!
I heard your speeding habits comes from your dad. I expect your parents to be knocking on your door tomorrow 🙂
funny how son’s really do learn a lot of habits from their dad’s eh? like my dad’s distaste for Asian cars…and Asian traditions hahahaha
