Apple today announced two new members of the iPod family. Meet The Ugliest iPod Ever Conceived (this is the U2 branded version), and also The Biggest Waste Of Money Ever (this is the so-called Photo iPod).
Seriously, why would you buy an iPod anymore? If you want a good portable media player, get the Creative Nomad Zen Touch. Similar size and weight to an iPod, much longer battery life, much better media file support, and much, much cheaper.

iPod Rocks! Having used one for almost a year now, I have to say I love the thing. The design of it, as well as usability, is much better than a Zen. The Zen just looks ugly and an imitation of the iPod.
Creative Zen Portable Media Centre đŸ˜‰ Shame it’s so ugly. The Samsung look nicer.
I think people will still want an iPod because it has cache to it due to its marketing program, more people are aware of it vs. Creative Nomad Zen touch. They even sell iPods at Holt Renfrew.

Your opinion on a "better" product it’s just your take. I think iPod is a better product, specs wise, even if you don’t consider the look. In the end, I have to say it probably comes down to your preferences. I have to agree with you though, the photo iPod seems kind of pointless. The addition of the color screen is nice, but not necessary. I don’t really look at my screen a lot. As for the U2 one, haha, I don’t even know what to say. I’m sure there’s gotta be some people out there who would like it, but I’m not one of them.
