Conan to replace Leno in 2009

Just as I am about to get off the computer to go to sleep and watch Leno, I see this article, which says:

NBC announced Monday that Conan O’Brien will take over from Jay Leno as host of the Tonight show. But he’ll have time to write his jokes — the planned succession won’t happen until 2009.

Interesting indeed! I really like both Leno and Conan, so it will be kinda neat to see the transition made five years from now. Really shows how volatile late nite television is too, making announcements five years in advance…

I like Conan and Leno too! You know who should retire though, Letterman. Those top 10s aren’t even funny anymore.

It makes me sad to see Leno go…Conan isn’t a very good interviewer, he always jumps into the conversation and doesn’t let the celebrity talk.

I guess he does that sometimes, but at least he makes it funny 🙂
