You might have heard Ashlee Simpson’s lead single “Pieces Of Me” on the radio recently, just as I did. I liked the song, so I decided to get the album and see what the rest of her songs were like. And I can safely say, if you like that song, you’ll like the rest of the record as well!
Her debut CD “Autobiography” has 12 tracks for a total playing time of 44 minutes even. I think my favorite track is still “Pieces Of Me”, though I really like “Love Me For Me”, “Giving It All Away”, and “Nothing New” as well. One of the most upbeat tracks on the disc is “La La”, kind of a neat song! Other tracks on the album include “Autobiography”, “Shadow”, “Better Off”, “Love Makes The World Go Round”, “Surrender”, “Unreachable” and “Undiscovered”.
I think I like her CD better than, say her older sister’s first release, if only because it sounds much less teeny-bopperish. I am tempted to compare her music to Avril Lavigne, but I think I will refrain – Lavigne’s new album is better in my opinion. However, if you like Michelle Branch, Jessica Simpson, and similar artists, I think you’ll like Ashlee Simpson.
For the record, shes pretty good looking and the sister of Jessica Simpson. Need I say more?

I went out to get Ashlee’s cd the first day it was released after seeing her perform live and loving it, and hearing her sing on both the radio and her MTV show. The cd was sold out in several stores and I had to drive two towns over to get it, and it was worth it. I have been listening to the cd non stop ever since. The cd has great break up songs, everything done in a style that is all Ashlee. Besides the fact that EVERY song on her cd is completely impressive,I like "Pieces of me"., "Undiscovered", "Unreachable", "Surrender" and "Love makes thw world go round" the best. Her songs are far more relatable than her sisters, and she is much more personable to meet…but I wouldn’t compare her to any othr artist. She has amazing writing talent and is above the rest.

I bought this CD the day it came out. I think it’s a great effort. It’s hard to think of a cd that makes me sing to myself all day long. the music sticks in my head. and not just one song, but all of them. I cannot choose between a favorite song. I love them all. Great album. It’s a mix between Hole and no doubt or garbage. I would recommend this to everyone. and as Ashlee put it, when she sung the song LALA, she just wanted to shake her butt. Alot of the tunes make ya wanna get up and dance.

If you’re used to pop it might sound punky to u but it isnt really anything other than pop. shes better than jessica (who cannot sing her way out of a paper bag) but her voice is so hoarse and stressed i think she needs some vocal lessons. the potential is there though.

In fact, I predict that long after everone is sick of "The Newlyweds," Ashlee will be headlining shows. And Jessica, she’ll be fetching Ashlee’s wardrobe. Ashlee can sing her ass off, she can write, and she puts on one hell of a show. Some of Ashlee’s current work is great, and some is still mediocre, but she is very young has a lot of growing room. And by the way, Jessica is very hot, but when she sings, it kinda sounds like a puppy with a stuffed up nose crying for it’s mommy.

The fans at the Rose Bowl said it all. There are always goimg to be a few suck ups who will spit out platitudes about how AWSOME Ashlee is but the huge majority of the American listening audience that loves music will switch channels rather than wretch at the sight and sound of her.
