Ever Google Yourself?

According to this survey, 39% of respondents have searched for themselves. I don’t know about you, but I find that number extremely low. I know I do a vanity search at least once a week just to see where I am ranking (mostly in relation to that damn Brazilian company).

So let’s do a little informal poll. If you have ever searched the Internet for yourself, leave a “yay” comment, otherwise leave “nay”. I am positive it will be higher than 39%!

  1. nay. I have not ‘gooogled’ myself or someone I know. I don’t see why you would. Unless just for some curiosity they want to know who else has the same name as them. Whatever that accomplishes. And unless you are like some government official or something you likely won’t find yourself on the internet. As for your family + friends, I think there are better ways to find out information about them. Same as with yourself, I doubt you will find information on them unless they are some famous person.

  2. lol let us see what we find if we google Mack D. Male……..

"Corey Gouker writes "Mack D. Male a nice guy from Canada has launched AcademicLonghorn.com. I’m really excited to see it up and running! ". Lol.

  3. Searching for Mack D. Male, Mack Male, MasterMaq, or any with quotes returns at least half of the top 10 links as my pages in Google. Better than the "Mack Male Hate Club" dont you think? Precisely the reason I google myself 😉

  4. "DICKSON WONG (MALAYSIA)SDN BHD was established in 1986 and represents the renowned
brands of sewing machine spare parts and accessories for garment and leather … "

  5. "Research profile for Michelle Wong: Graduate Student, Medical Biophysics, BC Cancer
Research Centre, Vancouver, Canada. … Medical Biophysics. Michelle Wong. … "

    Both from BC too…..

  6. LoL, my name is a very common one, especially in Vancouver… *blushes* I went to one of the hospitals, and they asked me ‘which’ one I was… out of the 15 they had listed. Errr. 😛

But, to answer the question, yay. =)
