I never thought about this before, but of course it makes sense. By default, digital cameras name pictures in a specific way. For example, Sony cameras name photos “DSC00001.jpg”, and other manufacturers have similar methods.
That’s why you have to check out this Google Images search. Seems most people don’t rename their photos before they upload them somewhere (I am guilty of this), so searching Google Images for “DSC00001.jpg” gives about 57,000 results. Quite interesting!

I bet you you could use the search of manufacturers’ default filename to judge which camera is more popular.
That’s true…unscientific, but probably quite accurate.
