For those of you that don’t know, pheedo is an RSS advertising company. They must have also acquired BlogSnob, which I used to have on the right side of my page. I say used to have, because they recently changed the way it looked without notifying me, and it made my page design all weird. Not only that, but I logged into my account to see if I could change it back, and no such luck.
I think that was a dumb move on their part. And I won’t be using their service anymore because of it.
The changes to the ad format were announced about two weeks ago. The changes provide two benefits: First, ads now load faster, decreasing your page load time. Secondly, you now have some significant customization options for your ads. You can change colors, borders, and fonts easily. See http://pheedo.com/help/how_do_i/000222.phdo for details on how to do this.
Hi Adam, thanks for your comment. That was a smart move 😉
Where was the announcement made? I never got an email, or noticed a link or anything, and I subscribe to a lot of feeds that should have mentioned such a thing.
Anyway, thanks for the link, I’ll take a look.
The announcement was in our blog and feed. As part of the transfer of the service to pheedo.com, the Exchange-specific blog has been put on hiatus while we figure out exactly where to put it. Such is the nature of consolidating several services into one — there ends up being some loose ends for a bit.
